Re-distributable Collaboration Tools

AceCad supports increased collaboration within project teams and integration of disciplines for increased productivity. Through increased software standardisation and in connection with open interfaces between best of breed applications, AceCad envisages that its integrated products will deliver the ultimate Structural and Contractor B.I.M. (Building Information Model) solution that may be incorporated as part of the wider B.I.M. concept.

With this in mind, AceCad has pioneered a virtual reality system that enables open collaboration and viewing of part or all of a model in fully rendered 3D detail. Printing, checking and measuring are all facilitated either by directly viewing the model or using the integrated 2D drawing viewer.

StruCad users create the 3D model and the StruCad system produces a StruWalker file, which may then be emailed to any project team member. Upon receipt, by downloading the Freeware directly from AceCad's website, the following major features are freely facilitated:

- Find Mark/Assembly facility

- Integrated Drawing Viewer with full printing

The Freeware 3D StruCad Model Viewer can be combined with the integrated Drawing Viewer enabling Fabrication, General Arrangements, Erection and Assembly Drawings, together with associated reports and material listing, to be viewed and printed. The package also contains a revision control system that assists in the checking-revision control cycle; enabling drawing control and the monitoring of drawing history and status. This entire process may be conducted quickly and efficiently via the internet/email between all project team members.
