Trainee Software Support
Engineer
The Position
You will be
trained to work as part of our technical support team, providing phone, e-mail
and web based support to our customers in the UK and internationally. You will
primarily support our CAD package StruCad but will have good knowledge of all
products in the AceCad product suite.
You will train with our Support, Development & Training teams, plus have the
opportunity to learn steelwork detailing from our own market leading in house
drawing office.
In time the successful candidates duties will including;
- Phone, e-mail and
web based support to UK and international customers
- Phone, e-mail and web based support to our international Office and Agents
- Customer training in the UK and internationally
- Technical Authoring
- Software Testing
- Work with our development teams and involvement in the development process.
The Candidate
This position is
ideally suit a recent school leaver, or a person with one or two years
experience in construction or engineering. We will sponsor the successful
applicant for further education and provide excellent in house training.

StruCad StruMac Developers
The
Position.
The successful candidate
will:
-
- Undertake a comprehensive training course on StruMac programming for
StruCad.
- Carry out ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of existing connection and
CAD programs.
- Develop new steel detailing connection and CAD programs for StruCad.
- Ultimately develop user interfaces for these programs and liaise with AceCad
offices worldwide.
The
Candidate
· -
Ideally a Structural or Civil Engineering background (HNC, HND, Degree, etc…).
- Preferably some experience of Steel or Concrete design and/or detailing.
- Experience of using CAD packages an advantage - ideally StruCad but otherwise
AutoCad etc
- An interest in programming (experience of any language eg Lisp, Visual Basic,
C++, Fortran, etc. would be useful
although is not essential)
- Good mathematical skills.

The position
Due to significantly increased market demand AceCad Software Ltd. (India) has an
immediate requirement for a number of Software Sales Consultant. The role
will primarily entail responsibility for providing a complete
range of system solutions including the StruCad 3D solid modelling system and StruM.I.S
the ultimate fabrication management system.
Duties and responsibilities:

- Organising Campaigns in coordination with Marketing Department

As a StruM.I.S Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing a complete
software solution for steelwork fabrication processes to steelwork fabricator
companies via the StruM.I.S database system as well as other hardware and
training services.

Steelwork Design Engineer
The position
The Steelwork Design Engineer will work in the Design Department to provide
structural designs and calculations for a wide range of building structures on
behalf our nationally renowned clients and to give structural guidance to our
own Drawing Office. Additional duties will be to assist our in-house Development
Department who are currently developing design software suites for integration
into our Strucad drawing system.
Duties and responsibilities
- Produce calculations and designs for approval, to our clients, Local
Authorities and Engineers.
- Liaise with and where necessary, attend meetings with clients, Engineers,
Architects and Contractors.
- Liaise with external drawing offices to ensure they interpret your designs
correctly.
- Provide technical assistance and support to our in-house drawing offices.
- Assist in writing Technical Specifications for our in-house design software
and in providing ongoing advice and a testing function as the software
development proceeds.
The candidate
Candidates must be self-motivated and posses an ability to operate in a
practical design office environment. They will require good written and verbal
communication skills and have an ability to convey information to third parties.
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential to fulfil this role, together with
the ability to produce high quality work to tight programmes.
The successful candidate will preferably have a degree in Structural
Engineering, though consideration will be given to someone with an HNC in
Structural Engineering. They will have two or more years experience working in
Structural Design office, preferably in that of a steel fabricator. A good
working knowledge of the current British Standards and Codes of Practice for
structural steel design and the familiarly of Computer Aided Design methods are
essential. An interest in computer programming would be beneficial. In-house and
external training will be given where appropriate

Software Support Technician
The Position
The role will involve providing StruCad technical support to our customers in
both the UK and abroad via telephone & e-mail. You will also be working closely
with support teams in our offices worldwide.
For the right applicant training will be provided on all AceCad Software
Products enabling them to support any of the AceCad Software Suite of products.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Handling Customer Queries via Phone & E-mail providing on the spot advice &
solutions.
- Testing / Reproducing Customer problems and relaying this information to the
development team.
- Customization of client installations.
- On site & In House Training.
-Creation of help document and knowledge base entries.
The candidate
Candidates must be looking to develop a career with StruCad and providing the
best customer care possible. The successful candidate will ideally have 3 years
StruCad experience and a good understanding of the Steelwork industry. You will
need to posses interpersonal & communication skills in both written & spoken
