AceCad experiences continued growth in Russia
 AceCad
was proud to play a central role at the Metalbuild Exposition in Moscow, Russia
last week. Metalbuild is a dedicated steel construction and architecture event
which offers a unique opportunity for the structural steelwork industry to unite
from across Russia and Europe. This industry central event was especially well
attended and all visitors were drawn to the AceCad stand, organised and
developed by AceCad’s Authorised Agent for Russia, CSoft. During the course of
the exposition hundreds of steelwork professionals were shown both StruCad and
StruM.I.S .NET and introduced to the many benefits associated with software
integration and Fabrication Information Modelling.
The very latest versions of StruCad – Version 13 and StruM.I.S .NET – Version
7.1 were demonstrated by CSoft and AceCad technical software professionals. The
latest rapid modelling tools and solid detailing technology within StruCad was
especially well received, whilst the significant advances in production
management and specifically visual component model tracking in StruM.I.S .NET
were a particular highlight for many of our visitors, according to AceCad
Software Sales Consultant Mr Steve Watson. “Many companies were excited about
the integration of both AceCad lead products to maximise productivity benefits,
streamline functions and departmental workflow and derive the most competitive
software solution from and including engineering design to site erection”, he
continued.
With localised and translated Russian language versions of AceCad’s software
many new clients have already come to appreciate the power and productivity
advantages delivered by AceCad’s leading solutions for the steelwork industry.
AceCad has invested in Russian speaking staff at AceCad and in collaboration
with CSoft has channelled significant resource into market development, software
regionalisation and enhanced support facilities. “Having worked in Russia for
many years and developed an excellent relationship with CSoft over this period,
we have an excellent user base and a first class understanding of the specific
requirements of steelwork engineers from across the region”, commented AceCad’s
Sales Director, Mr Andrew Manze.
  
The success of the software within the region was further displayed recently by
the inauguration of the first Russian StruCad Drawing Competition. This extremely
well subscribed competition displayed the extent to which both StruCad is utilised and the flexibility of its application, with entries across the
spectrum from plant and process facilities to towers and impressive municipal
landmark projects.
IRVIK, the winners of the first Russian StruCad Drawing Competition were recently
flown by CSoft to the UK to receive their prize and meet with staff at AceCad.
Two of the engineering managers from IRVIK spent time with AceCad across all
departments and were hosted by one of the UK’s foremost structural steel
contractors in a site visit to encourage openness and mutual learning.
