Gdansk
University of Technology signs Exclusive Agreement with AceCad
Software
Further to a direct new business development initiative conducted in
Poland last year we are pleased to announce the start of a new
relationship with Gdansk University of Technology; the oldest and
largest scientific and engineering academic institution in the
Pomerania region, Poland. This prestigious institution supports
around 20,000 students annually and trains up to
120 structural engineering graduates each academic year.
The selection of AceCad's World Leading 3D Steel Detailing System - StruCad, by
Gdansk University of Technology, is in line with AceCad's commitment to
education and follows similar recent relationships, most recently with
The Department of Steel Structures
and Structural Mechanics at the University of Timisoara, Romania. After a
recent
preliminary visit to AceCad's UK Head Office by Grzegorz Weydmann of Gdansk
University of Technology, staff evaluated the potential of AceCad's products
against others. Following this initial visit, AceCad were invited to attend a
return meeting in Poland at the University and conducted an in depth
presentation to key members of staff, during which the key benefits of the StruCad system
were illustrated. The feedback was immediate and
overwhelmingly positive and as direct result StruCad has been exclusively
selected as the preferred steel detailing software for Gdansk University of Technology.
After this initial confirmation a very successful first training session to
Masters students was conducted by AceCad staff. Further to a period of Gdansk
University staff training in the UK, StruCad will now feature as a permanent module on the
universities final year syllabus and all students will be trained in its use.
As a direct result of this initiative, we anticipate that AceCad's successful recent direct sales activity throughout Poland will be
complemented by future demand for StruCad from these graduates, as
each year they enter engineering companies across Poland, equipped with
significant experience of the World's Leading 3D Steel Detailing System.
